A wee while ago a friend of mine loaned me a copy of Dead Man's Shoes and it honestly blew me away. Rarely does a film make you feel discomfort to the point of nausea just through brilliant direction and natural acting. From that point I became a devotee to Mr Meadows. When TIE came along it took the whole thing to a new level. The way the dialogue flows is just incredibly natural and I would assume a great deal of it is improvised. However the nasty scene left me so traumatised I have never watched the film again. Not that it was any more shocking than a lot of stuff out there in terms of what it shows; just the natural acting and realistic direction makes it all the more relevant. I've now started TIE 86 and all the brilliance of the film re-appears along with the nastiness. I've more of a stomach for it this time though! Honestly chaps and chappesses, superb job on the acting. Captivating, naturalistic, heart wrenching, funny and thought provoking. Looks like you had a ball filming it.

That pretty much sums up my route to becoming a fan Shane's films. Check out the film links on the main site. There's loads of TIE goodies.
And welcome to de forum.
