Hey gang, after lurking for a while decided to sign up.
About myself I dabble in a lot of things but focus my time at the moment on counting the ceiling tiles in the dole office. Born in Swansea moved down west Wales when I was young. Still get to the occasional Swansea game but my measly 50 quid a week is usually rather spent on bus fares getting to job interviews. Turned 18 on St Paddy's Day (few days ago) so you can probably imagine how hungover I still am.
I'm a failed occasional poet/writer/whatever and fancied trying my hand at some filmmaking, gonna start shooting some tests with some friends soon, mainly to pass the time. Been reading some posts and seen a few short films made by some members here. Dirty Egg by Patrick Coyle was pure brilliance. Also seen some of RydCook's stuff and, I believe, a short with that fit bird from Angus's Thong by Kez (as I believe he's known) and quite enjoyed that original short.
Quite the fan of Shane's, saw This Is England and then went through his back catalogue of features and a few shorts. Really enjoyed Le Donk (calm down Deirdre Barlow literally made me piss myself) and obviously TIE '86 was phenomenal.
Anyway, hopefully I'll stick around here, the film making section is particularly helpful, and establish myself as a constructive member of the forum and see if I can somehow work that into my CV. Bloody hate the dole.
