Casting process for Shane Meadows work

Hi everyone ;D

I loved 'This is England' the TV series-I'm still in shock; it was gripping and heart wrenching. I was so involved in the story I actually shouted at the TV.
It was the most beautiful acting and directing, and such an important story. Thanks.

My thread is about getting an audition for one of Shane's projects, and how they cast, is there someone I could send my work too?

We do have a few cast members on the forum, so maybe they can help. Shane has recruited from the Carlton TV Workshop in Nott'm in the past. He also uses actors he's seen and liked in other stuff and sometimes there's an extensive search to find exactly the right person (as was famously the case with Thomas Turgoose). Warp films advertised for extras for TIE 88. So, a variety of routes it seems. Good luck.
