I finally got to see ARFRB last night and loved it.
Quality movie, quality actors, quality soundtrack.
My favourite so far of Shane's movies.

Think I've seen Shane's films in mixed up order. Saw OUATITM first, then 24/7, DMS then TIE and ARFRB the other night.
It was strange seeing you as a youngster as Romeo after seeing you as Milky. Top performance mate (in both movies).
Paddy freaked me out a bit, especially when he first grabs Knock Knock ... then just acts normal again when you turn up with the ice creams.

I think ARFRB will always hold a place in my heart as my favourite film. Sheer brilliance Its the one film I seem to be able to watch again and again and the acting is brilliant, the film goes from being funny to emotional so much. I was actually trying to track down a decent original film poster so it could be framed in my hallway.

You can get an Australian poster from Ebay. To be honest it's the one I have framed in my hallway as the original UK poster was a little quirky! I got me and paddy one each, posted etc, for about £20.

Ive also finally just got round to seeing this! I didnt enjoy it quite as much as DMS or TIE but I still thought it was excellent and will no doubt watch it numerous times in the next few weeks .
Like in DMS, Paddy C is amazing in this. I loved the way his character is funny but also quite sinister at the same time. The "I cant destroy you now lads, Im on very serious business" line is an absolute classic!
Was also a nice surprise to see a much-younger Milky from TIE! I almost didnt recognise him and Paddy!

I finally got to see it myself -- I agree that DMS and TIE were richer and more satisfying works, but ARFRB was still hugely entertaining. It was pretty weird seeing Milky, Lol, and the National Front speaker from TIE playing brother, sister, and father in this. Good performances all around, though! I liked that it felt wholly original for a coming-of-age story, that there was really nothing cliche` about it (especially Paddy's performance -- Morell was like no character I'd ever seen before). Excellent soundtrack, too!

It's definately one of my favourites, I'd say joint second atleast! Beautifully shot, who ever did the colouring was on top form also! I love the dialogue between all the characters, it really adds to the realism and makes the whole film so believable!

A Room For Romeo Brass is actually one of the scariest of Shane's films. Morell was a really dark and disturbing character. It's not just that he's violent and a bit pervy, it's all the built up twisted nonsense that he's got flying around inside his head.

It's definitely my favourite of all Shane's films. The opening sequence of the walk and the chip shop visit are straight out of my childhood. I know that tired trudge back too well. Plus: "gizzoid"

It is an amazing film! The acting all round is great and it was strange for me as I watched this after 'This is England' and Andrew just seemed so different - all little and cute I actually find Paddy scarier in this than in 'Dead Man's Shoes'. Morell makes me feel very uncomfortable, but that just shows what a great actor Paddy is. Able to totally inhabit a character's skin.
