Short Film - Manchester - Directorial First

Dear Filmakers,
This isn't a casting advertisement first of all. I'm Directing a short film in Manchester entitled 'Anne Green' a sort of skewed reality picture with contemporary characters/situations think 'Unbreakable' meets 'The Green Mile'.
This is my first go at Directing, I have however Produced many other short films some of which have gone on to win awards and I produced DEADTIME for Spooked Films which is currently selling internationally and now has over 420,000 hits on youtube. My company is also in pre-production on our next two horrors to be shot in the north west early next year (www.tiranafilms.com)
For my short film I'm trying to make contact with local filmakers. I spoke to Richard Knight some time back about locations for a few of the films I'm developing. But I am now looking to find links for casting in the North as one of my characters is between 70 and 90 years of age which is proving difficult to cast for. I already have my other lead character being played by an up and coming actor Kristofer Dayne from London.
I'm therefore trying to find out if anyone knows of local groups or organisations (like amateur dramatics groups) who they've worked with before, where I might be able to find my leading lady. I'm happy to meet with anyone to discuss these things more as I'd like to widen my northern network.
