OK OK don't get excited it's doesen't exist. I was just wondering who'd be interested (Shane?) in a Romeo Brass 10 year anniversary edition with a biliion extras. I was thinking the other day that it must be it's 10th year since it was made next year. How about getting a web petition together and getting the ball rolling now. I'd shell out a tonne for a copy of that. Who's with me? Since Shane is behind the 'Small Time' DVD release and the Shane Meadows boxset comes out soon there must be the demand so why not feed it.

Yeah, this'd be AWESOME!! I'm sure Shane would be up for it, but i'm not sure thats enough to get it going, or is it? Theres been no news on Small Time for aaages, although i'm sure its gonna happen. Heres to hoping.

I'd be up for that... I'm just spreading 'the good word' as it is - lent a colleague the DVD... he's seen 'Dead Man's Shoes' but not this - so he's in for a corking film! Yep - I'd have it on DVD with loads of extras... plenty 'shorts' should be added... and a 'double disc' would be cracking!  N. |

I could definitely get behind something like that, if a US release could be part of the deal. I'm itching to see this thing! I've actually been hoping that Criterion would release ARFRB as part of their "Criterion Collection" series -- a 2-disc set with the film, all the extras from the Region 2 DVD, and the "Shane's World" shorts (which I know were on the now out-of-print OUATITM R2 DVD, but I don't think they ever got a proper US release). That'll never happen, but I can dream, can't I?  |

it'd be amazing if there was a box set just with all the deleted scenes from all of the films with smalltime ronnie and shanes other shorts probably a DVD would be impossible but a screening of deleted scenes and shorts wouldnt be that difficult (well compared to a DVD)

Gotta say its my fav Shane Meadows film and would love to see a version with more extras, the one i have, not sure what copy it is but its only has a commentry and a short behind the scenes montage, but still a good dvd!

Seriously. I think this would be a great idea. it's all the behind the scenes and potential showcase for other shorts that gets me going.

ARFRB is such a great film yet it doesn't seem to get as much attention as his others. It's one of his most underrated and misunderstood works. I'm not sure if there'll be a big enough market for a 10th anniversary edition.
If there was such an edition I'd snap it up of course.
From the short films page there appears to be a 1997 13min short called A Room For Romeo Brass. Would be interesting to see that...
