This is also a pastime of mine. Best sucsess: My brother, he "can't be bothered to watch films" and almost everything I make him watch gets the response "Yeah that's allright" but he was blown away by RFRB. He now owns 3 films on DVD - RFRB, DMS and Top Gun (so he's got 2/3 good taste).
Biggest failure was this about a month ago. I told me friend to go and watch This is England and said if he didn't like it I would re imburse him for his ticket. It was a silly thing to say but he insists he didn't really enjoy it. First person I've ever heard say that about a Shane Meadows film, but I suppose it takes all sorts.

I have converted about 15 people know from showing them ARFRB first.
One friend in particular would never watch any of Mr Meadows films over the last few years and whilst I was at his house the other day what did I find had been delivered from amazon ARFRB, DMS and 24/7 when I quizzed him about it he had to apologise and say that Shane's work was brilliant and he was just being a dick for not watching any.

What a git - tell him not to spread that opinion around... we'll have none of that! Nah... I HATE "The Mighty Boosh" and other stuff... just can't stand it... but LOVE T.I.E. so I'll let people have their opinions... I just can't see anyone NOT liking it... Unless maybe you've been tw*tted by Skinheads, and suffer Post Traumatic Stress Disorder whilst watching it... ANy other excuses WILL have to be accompanied by a doctor's note and a referral for therapy! N.
