Right, after spending 9 hours in Theatre Admissions Unit at The Hallamshire, Sheffield on 1st February and having my surgery cancelled due to the surgeon before mine, running overtime in the theatre. (Don't ya know they shut at 6!) ;D ....... I am first on the list for this Friday the 17th ...
I'm a bit believer in good vibes .. so spare a few for me please, as I'm bricking it !

Many thanks for the good wishes ... I needed them as I was so nervous I was nipping to the loo every few minutes that morning despite having been Nil by Mouth since 7 pm the night before!
All went well with the op .. but I now need another operation to correct something that occured after the operation .. oh hum .. such is life and all that.
I am now the proud owner of a buzzy left leg .. a dead left foot and a mobility scooter! Some super comfy new crutches and am getting a self propelled wheelchair for on the flat .. ie. when shopping in Sainsburys.
Got to say a special thank you to all the staff at the Hallamshire in Sheffield who were so incredibly kind, smiley and patient ... and to the miserable sod in th next bed ... pfffft, I fart in your general direction.
Nice to be back !

Good to have you back Saffy you've had a tough time of it as late, but i have a feeling things are going to start and get a lot better for you.
