Anyone got one? Got any opinions on it?
I've seen a lot of videos on youtube and the quality seems great for the size of the camera.

Just looked it up. Looks really nice.. and so tiny. The website definitely shows how it is designed for the sports style filming: gopro.com/products/?gclid=COyvhdbSwa8CFYwMtAodhBDKxgIs it possible to turn off the huge wideangle business... I guess not as that must be a lens thing. Now going to look up so timelapse made with it.... read a review on Amazon which says it's easy to timelapse with it.

Got a couple of these for The Roses Doc. There are 3 angles of view from seeing round the back of your own head and way beyond into the dark filthy secrets of the unknown universe, through to something far more normal.
Great at sticking in the places a camera on a tripod could only dream of. Defo better in good light but ok indoors. Without the little screen it's beyond guesswork as on the wide angle setting slightly off level becomes your worst nightmare indoors as the bend is insane. so for anything with straight lines involved, the little screen is a godsend.

Can we safely assume that the Roses doc is definitely going ahead now? ;D
I guess an official all-clear is needed from somewhere before it can be reported in the press though?
Anyone else seen the live Slipknot DVD Disasterpiece.. I have, just don't tell too many people, or my already tiny quantity of street-cred will plummet even further! Anyway, they stuck a camera on each of their 9 masks and got some rather fun angles going on.... then on the DVD there were a couple of tracks where you could use the angle function to switch between the viewpoint of each band member. Great fun!

Fisheye is the effect you will end up with but for the price handy piece of kit which you can attach to just about anything. Got a couple of these for The Roses Doc. I was just thinking... we should all be placing bets on how quickly this tiny tit-bit of news will appear as a news story on websites or The Metro, etc. ;D

Here's a nice video showing examples of the wide angle settings and frame rate and resolutions.
The lesser wide angles realy just look like zoomed in versions of the widest setting, thus cropping off the most extreme edges. This seems to be proven by the fact that the video above mentions that the image gets noisier the narrower the angle you choose! Plus you can only use the extreme wide angle in the lower resolutions... only the 1080p setting has the angle options... and in 1080p mode you can't use any of the high frame rates.

Cheers, that's a handy video. Good comparisons between cameras. Yeah I had read that the timelapse could only be done on 720 I think. Also, I think I have seen some clips of slipknot live with cameras mounted on Guitars and masks... I think the only reason I watched the video was because of the interesting camera angles! Cant say I've watched the full DVD though Got a couple of these for The Roses Doc. I had been told this camera has been used a lot in documentary filming because of its size, quality and the ability to attach it to heads, bodies, surfboards etc. It will be great to see the output in the stone roses documentary. Plus, when it gets sweaty at the stone roses gigs shane, you can always stick on the waterproof casing! Ha!

This music video is the best thing I've seen shot with the GoPro.
WARNING: It's like a violent action film.. and the song says "Motherfucker" a lot. ha
