So, let's liven this place up again... and we can start by once again launching the Mini Meadows short film competition. The most recent reminder to do this came from jamestsullivan in another thread just a couple of days ago. This thread is for ideas for the competition. Just looked up some old threads, and I see we never did start using Wiggy's idea of naming the first prize, the "Romeo Brass Award". Then I came up with the convoluted names for 2nd and 3rd place... 1st: The Romeo Brass Award 2nd: The Romeo Copper Award 3rd: The Romeo Zinc Award There is a logical reason for those metals! So, the competition should again have two film categories; The 60 second shorts The 15 second shorts The 15 second category really led to some creative genius I thought! Once again, I have no prizes, but maybe some could be mustered.... but for now, the competition prize for each category simply comprises of kudos from the forum members AND I will tweet the films from the Shane Meadows Twitter account (which currently has over 16,000 followers)! Although... I'll probably tweet links to most of the films entered into the competition to be honest. You will all deserve the luxury of Twitter exposure! Perhaps we can get the Twitter followers to vote too? I'll look into it.... it will make it less forum centric obviously, but we will get a far larger number of people voting! So... ideas.....

I cant remember how we voted last time? did we PM you? if you're opening the voting up then one thought is doing it with youtube likes but then it might turn into a social networking competition as people get all their twitter followers and facebook friends to like their vid.
