Bad Press....

I see this film gets a bit of bad press sometimes.

Most people I now who aren't familiar with Shane Meadows films love it.

It certainly shits on most UK films out now.
It has some good moments. Like Vic and Bob as clowns.
And Rhys Ifans is funny throughout.

I think if the possible planned re-cut of it can happen it will be great.

I hate to diss anything Mr Meadows has done but just didn't empathise with the main characters in it the way that I did with his other films. I think its probably the fact that using household tv names in it we're used to seeing detracted from the reality of it and one of the main things I love about Shanes film is the fly on the wall quality.
