I noticed in the This Is England soundtrack, that in the booklet there is a photo of Woody resting his head up against a bloodied Harvey as they stand next to each other.
I was wondering what this scene was about and if it relates to why Harvey is part of the gang in 86'.
Anyone have any info on this?

Interesting! I'd like to know too.
I remember reading about a deleted scene involving Shaun going to a school disco. Perhaps this is from that? Or maybe there was a lot more shot at the school. Perhaps there was a fight scene with Woody & Harvey? Woody sticking up for Shaun.
I don't think it'll have much to do with Harvey being in the gang from '86 onwards. When they wrote/shot TIE they had no idea it'd be a TV series in the future.
It makes sense that Harvey is in the gang anyway, as friendship groups change as you get older. If Meg & Banjo can be in the gang then Harvey certainly can! I wonder if Jack O'Connell had been available to play Pukey if Harvey would have been included in the gang at all?

Yeah, I was think something like that. Woody looks pretty disappointed with himself. I think a scene like that would of been pretty awesome. I didn't mean like directly. But maybe it would just fill in some gaps or something by having them have a scene together. Make it feel less out of the blue and more like natural progression. Something to build off of.

I seem to recall that there was a deleted scene where Woody beat Harvey up outside a chippy or something for picking on Shaun. It was supposed to be what drew Shaun into the gang. It didn't quite work so was replaced with Gadget going to Shaun's to say sorry and invite him hunting.
I think I also did read that Harvey's role in TIE'86 was directly related to Pukey not coming back.

The scene was never used due to the audio being ruined by some wankers playing loud music from the near-by flats. The scene with Gadget going to Shaun's re: hunting was always part of it.
Hope this helps.
