Guys check out Jake Bugg a young singer from Clifton Estate i'm told he's going to tour with Noel Gallagher when he heads to States.
On You Tube if you tap in Jake Bugg Trouble Town you will see that the video is all shot in and around Clifton Estate Also if you tap in Jake Bugg Two Fingers you might see an old friend of Sir Shane lurkig in the video

Thought I'd add a link-encourage people to watch it. Excellent stuff.
Sounds like he's been listening to some early Dylan too.

The opening couple of bars of Trouble Town reminded me-a little bit-of the opening of the Ballad of Hollis Brown (and phrasing is similar to early BD). I think Dylan was 22-23 when he wrote that, so yes impressive. Can't be bad if people are making such comparisons.
Two Fingers is very different though:
Nice to see Vicky supporting him.
When are you going to start bleating on and on (and on) about him being a County fan.....

Never crossed my mind. If he hits the bottle and gets a drink drive conviction maybe he'll get his Statue placed in The Market Square
His concert at Rock City in Feb is already sold out i missed out on a ticket so i'm trying to get a ticket for Leeds or Sheffield. I'm up at Sheffield next Friday to see the play A Taste of Honey while there i'll try to get Jake tickets.

The lad's doing well...Must admit I missed Jools Holland and the Jonathon Ross show appearances and didn't notice the 'Ligthening Bolt' intro to the 100 metres at the Olympics either-all the highlights of his year then . I can understand him dismissing the Dylan analogies, but this really isn't a bad thing Jake....
