Dark! Really good look to it, and the story was well devised. I really liked the shots of the downstairs of the house, quiet and empty. They gave the film a more thought-provoking power that couldn't have been acheived by keeping the film in the bedroom only.

Beautifully shot and I loved the music choices but I didn't quite follow it. The denouement flew over my head but then that is probably just me. I could make a few guesses as to what was happening. I do like ambiguity though.

The middle section was actually an afterthought and was shot after the initial filming, something was needed to bridge the transition of time and I'm glad you thought it worked. I've got another project in development that will be shot in the same house, it belonged to a family member who recently died - I didn't know her that well though so I guess its ok! Beautifully shot and I loved the music choices but I didn't quite follow it. The denouement flew over my head but then that is probably just me. I could make a few guesses as to what was happening. I do like ambiguity though. Thanks chromebaby, a couple of people who have watched it haven't got it straight away but I suppose its good that it makes people think. Thanks for the comments.

Liked that Aaron. I agree with Chromebaby in that there is some ambiguity in the meaning-I thought there were two possible interpretations. But either works. Good to see powerful story telling achieved with minimal dialogue. I find a lot of film-makers are a bit heavy handed with relationship/relationship dynamics shorts-e.g. the anti-hero is OTT nasty, but this was nicely pitched and quietly effecting. It did leave me wanting...something...not sure what. I had a sort of 'And?' reaction at the end. But, ultimately, it it also left me wanting to see more of your work, which is good. Can see the Meadows influence at work-that's also good

I definitely agree about the ambiguity and subtlety in the narrative and the ending can be interpreted differently by each viewer which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Some people liked the cliffhanger ending as it left them wanting to see more as you mentioned, whilst others were left feeling a little bit confused but either way I suppose its a good thing that it leaves people thinking about the film after they have watched it. I'm glad you liked the character development which was told without much dialogue, I really enjoyed dressing the set and creating meaning through other devices - the house was very bare before we started so everything was put there for a reason. Cant wait to continue making more, I'm following the footsteps of Shane by trying to make one short every month starting from January. Aaron.

It's good to see thought going into how the visuals will tell the story, rather than treating the set as a back drop. I just watched your documentary on South Africa. Excellent-very professional looking, nicely shot and great music. I particularly liked the cut away shot of the birds with the voiceover running underneath. As an aside, some of that art work is awesome.

Its really great to hear feedback and thank you for looking at more of my work, it makes all the hard work and effort worthwhile! There were some fantastic art galleries in Cape Town, I was lucky enough to get a chance to go there after I won the opportunity at college - an opportunity which I would never have had otherwise. I didn't want to post the documentary on this forum as I feel it doesn't really fit with the Meadows theme but I'm glad you took a look. Aaron.
