Hello,
So, bored with nothing to edit for months on end, I decided to give myself a challenge.... edit clips from fun film Crank along to the some of the most irregular and noisy music I could think of.
The end result is:
Chev Chelios Vs Atari Teenage Riot
It drove me round the twist doing this edit, and it will annoy the heck out of most viewers (mostly due to the madness of ATR)... but it's good fun! I'm not totally happy with it really... there are plenty of clumsy bits I'm not overly impressed by, but I still get plenty of enjoyment out of it non the less!
Oh.. I tweeted this video, and within a few minutes, Atari Teenage Riot had favourited it and retweeted it to all their fans! That alone has made all the brain breaking madness worthwhile! ;D
Brace yourself, and follow the link below!

was quality that!! if I was to say anything it'd just be you could have done with a couple of good glitch filters, like the digital blocky effect to have been used on a couple of tiny bits like when he was running out the lift, just to give the visuals that little push to further match the audio when it's really fucking up.
aside from that though absolutely brilliant job, you managed the balance between the details and the bigger picture brilliantly, the concept was great and perfectly executed.
theres no way me or anyone else who watches this will be watching anything that resembles the same video you see when you watch it though, you'll intricately know every tiny sync, can tell you'd agonised over it but well worth it keep pushing this because once it catches on it could get god knows how many views

Thanks for watching... I agree about the lift bit.... Wasn't sure what to do with it, but liked the freeze frames idea. More glitchy visual noise would have been great.... but I'm not really sure how to do that kind of thing properly. The hardest part about doing the video is that Atari Teenage Riot's music is so noisy you can't even see where the beats punctuate the music in the audio waveform! All done by ear! The other bit that is not quite good enough is when the car skids in the mall. The stuttering edits don't really match and/or there's not enough of them. Lazy sod! ha Not sure how to promote it any more though. Amazingly Atari Teenage Riot found it because they must regularly search for mentions of themselves on Twitter. I didn't @ them in the original tweet. I did however send an @ message to directors Neveldine/Taylor.... nothing happened there, and in fact, they don't seem to have been on Twitter since! haha Scared them off. ;D

have never perfected the glitch effects myself,
as for promoting it, i'd think about changing the name to - 'Crank vs Atari Teenage Riot' but I do mean think about, I prefer the name you've got but i'd say crank would get you more views, same would go for jason statham probably, i'd put it where fans of crank and the band will find it, facebook groups etc. initially even jason statham fans, tweek to jason statham, you've got something people with a built in interest would love to see so get it infront of them and see what happens

I'm pretty sure I have Crank as a tag term for the video at least. Not sure if I added Statham as a tag! Must fix that! ha
