Can't see a thread on this, but the Oramorph is making me float about two foot off the ground and my glasses aren't working that good.

Anyway to cut a long story short .. I'm back as SAFFY. And so I should.

What I'm wanting to ask is, who is watching DEREK? Or has it finished now? The Ricky Gervais thing ..?

My tuppence worth .. It's made me laugh, cry, wince, be thankful .. An excellent tv series IMO.

Anyone wanna chip in and tell me my meds are having an adverse effect on me and to get to the doctor quick?

You've got that the wrong way round. He definitely does whatever he wants and then people throw money at it. I can't think of anything he's done that was down to him being payed to do it.

I do quite like it, but the reliance on "sad piano" is a bit repetitve, and I still don't feel that the pervy saddo bloke fits in the show at all.... unless there's some big revelation or focus on him in the last episode tonight.

No, it really hooked me from the start. Perhaps because I'm a soppy git and if I had to have a relative in a care go e that's the one I would want.

To be honest I don't know a lot about Gervais, but know a lot about his character in this series .. I looked after a little boy who had a couple of things not firing right in his head and the way Ricky played this out was really well done.

I'm just a saddo, go on, stick that sticker on me head, ya know you want to.

I loved the whole series Gervais is a top quality writer and his acting in Derek has been superb.
Last nights episode had me in tears.
And the Monkey on a pigs back song cracked me up

Not seen many of his films but the ones i've seen were ok nothing special.
I liked Idiot Abroad 1 but stopped watching Idiot Abroad 2 after episode 2 much a much the same

As I thought... the last episode did have some insight and revelation to seedy pervo man.. haha.

Was a great last episode, very touching. I did think, "Coldplay? come on Gervais, get with it!" haha

Loved Derek's last words of the episode when he turns to the camera does that thing he does with his mouth and says "I've got a Dad" very touching

Yeah, I must admit, I did right enjoy it. I think to get reward from working in an old folk's home, you have to be bloody patient with some of them.

My daughter used to work breakfasts at one and this old lady threw her poached egg at her ... lol. I got some right stories. There are an awful lot of lovely people there who have no one to visit them (I'm just about to apply to do a volunteering post at visiting old people's homes just to talk to them), but there are some right buggers aswell.

I'll let ya know how I get on.
