Sorry to hear that Saffy. Hope you're bearing up. There does seem to be a fair bit of divergence in treatment for specific conditions across the country-maybe you could explore that if and when you feel up to it. And techniques might improve in time. I hope so. Take care.

Hiya me ducks .. I've been in a bit of a dark place .. then the sun came out and I blossomed, like a little spring flower.

There's so much scar tissue on my back and around my spine that it's too dangerous to even consider operating there.

I've decided to give up on hope, operative wise, and move on .. and just deal with what I've got. I'm finding it a whole lot better this way and I'm a great deal happier.

Am getting a little automatic, adapted car on MONDAY so that's going to open up another whole new world for me ..

Bloody hell, it's been quiet on here if this thread is still on the front page .. I ought to try and remedy that. Trouble is, I am the Queen of random shite ..

Hope everyone is ok .. I'm tickety boo and starting to panic about Christmas and presents etc. Think M and I will need a new PC as our old one keeps having trouble waking up .. we're going to totally reformat it for one more time and if that doesn't sort the problem, then a new one it is.

Hope you've all had a lovely summer .. we had yet another wonderful holiday on the island of Kefalonia in Greece. I swam with a turtle, which made my holiday and I rescued a cat who had a terrible injury which left half his scalp hanging off .. gross. Happy ending though, ARK Rescue on the island, managed to get him in the carrier and the vet operated AND cut off his manly bits so he is one less tom cat roaming the street with feisty sperm.

We took the plunge and booked for Southport Weekender next May .. I'll be in a wheelchair (hope to get an upgrade from the dire NHS one I have at the moment) so am trying out my dance moves - upper body of course.

Gutted that Breaking Bad has finished and actually did lots of snotty sobbing during the final episode .. so much so that M threatened to shut me out of the room. We had to re watch it as we missed most of it due to my blowing my nose, making huge sobbing noises and secretly, just wanting to watch it again anyway.

Good to hear from you. Sounds like you're doing pretty well. Glad to hear that.

I watched the final series (5) on netflix a little while back. By then, it had been so long since I'd watched 1-4, I'd forgotten a lot of it. I was off sick for a few days this week (OK now), so I watched the whole thing again back to back! What made you sob?

Thought the end was pretty good really (even though THAT shoot out scene was pure 'A' Team, ;D ). Like that he finally had to admit in the end that it was all about him...What did you think of it?

I can't find the right words to do it justice to be honest .. Can't wait for our boxed set (yes, we went for the barrel one) to watch it alllll over again.

Yes. I did find it kind of A Team at times (the train bit and Chicken Man's demise as well as the shoot out), but I don't think it's trying to be The Wire. It's just really great story telling, I think. Great pace, lots of good characters (I loved Hank). I don't watch many things more than once, but-like I say-I watched the whole thing back to back last week and really enjoyed it. Enjoy that box set (it takes a bloody age for them to put stuff out though-hope you get it in time for Crimbo).
