Not quite sure how it happens, but ever since I made TIE series for TV, I seem to be still working on the project like a lunatic just as it's about to get released. Back in the day, I would edit for yonks, then play Nintendo Wii for a month, then maybe mix for a week or Two, then have a month Watching movies, playing darts in the local League and eating stuff, then grade, then 3 months of meetings about new projects, more darts, maybe make a short or two with Paddy, then a festival or two, then maybe just maybe 6 months later it might get released.
God knows how but this baby has been crackers. I have to get written permission from Buckingham Palace to go for a poo poo at the min. We are at present, all at the same time doing: The Mix, The Grade, The Online, TV/Magazine interviews, Launching the Poster, The Trailer, Hosting a Mahoosive Satalite Linked Premiere (200 cinema's and counting!), Editing DVD Extra's, Planning a Week long tour up and Down the Country following the Premiere and about 38 other things all day, everyday. I'm not moaning but flipping heck I'm flustered. People say men can't multitask, basically true unless you shove a shotgun in his chops then he'll whistle Dixie big time!
Every day is a heady mix of extreme highs (trailer launch, tickets go on sale and Cinema numbers growing rapidly type stuff) and Neil from the Young One's lows (every conceivable post production problem you can imagine including fire, wee wee's & explosions) which are only made palatable by the hilarious catch up chats I have with Mark (producer) as we share horror/happy stories throughout the day. We are getting there though and a few weeks from now when I'm sat in the premiere waiting for the projectionist to hit 'play' it will (hopefully) be finished and worth it.
Seacrest out!

Thanks for the insight. Were you invited to that British Film Industry back-slapping event a few weeks ago with the Queen? If not, it's a damn cheek that you now have to get poo poo permission from the palace! haha
I notice on the end of the trailer a few review quotes from different sources like the NME and the Observer. Does that mean there have been early screenings for critics of the film with an incomplete grade and mix?

Sounds really stressful, but it will definitely be worth it. Can't wait. Yes Dave, I looked for reviews from the end credit endorsers for the 'press' thread, but couldn't them. Also wondered if there had been an advanced 'rough cut' screening (lucky sods ).

Yes Dave, I went down to Windsor Castle with Mark and some of the crew from TIE which was a great crack as it goes. I hadn't had any tea and so ended up quite tipsy on the queens best bubbly.

Yes,but we love you for doing this Shane.Love TIE,but Made of Stone is gonna be one of the highlights of 2013 for me.That and seeing the lads at Glasgow Green.I was gutted not to have got tickets for the Victoria Warehouse premier ,but copped for the satellite link at The Cornerhouse (Manchester). One thing that's worrying me is that I hope my Heaton Park interview DID end up on the cutting room floor, cos I'll be embarrassed as f**k if I see myself !!! I and 600 others from our Roses fan page on fb are really looking forward to it and know all your hard graft is gonna be worth it.So from me and them,we all say thanks from the bottoms of our hearts for giving this project the love and attention it so deserves. One Love x
