Internet fun! Mr Bill Edwards (Chromebaby) pointed me in the direction of a BBC news article about web project that uses the Google Street View data to make time-lapse-like animations. Best of all, it turns out you can make your own hyperlapse animations too! I'm not sure exactly what your web browser needs for it to work, but not everyone is getting it to work. I have it working on Firefox, and the website itself recommends using Google Chrome. Anyway, here's the first attempt I made using the hyperlapse interface.. a quick zip around the Royal Crescent in Bath: Royal Crescentthen I did this one. I wanted to get a nice rotational look at some clouds, and this works pretty well: Cloud viewIt's all pretty easy to do. You drag the A and B markers on the Google map and then you drag the target icon to the point you want the camera to fixate on. Go here to start: www.teehanlax.com/Once the animation is running, you can tilt the image up and down by clicking and dragging on the animation itself. You can also change the focal point for the camera by dragging the target icon about on the map. You can't make any really long A to B journeys, just short bursts. Post your attempts for us all to have a look! Seems that the epic links that you create are not recognised by the forum so you have to use the LINK button when posting it in your message. If you don't know how to do that, just whack the big link in your message and I'll sort it when I see it.
