The golden triangle - my favourite film maker now links with my favourite band and favourite football club Here's my pictures from the Friday night comeback Heaton Park gig June 2012. Spot Bez on the last photo. Heaton Park 29/612And this a piece I recently wrote for John Robb's Louder Than War website about a trip to Man United during the MaDchester 'Fergie Out' years - how things have changed! MaDchester United 1989And this is the day I met Mani (when still in Primal Scream) and son at Oxford Road station off to United, real friendly guy and happy to chat.

Can't celebrate the third side of the golden 'traingle'-there's only one Reds that Notts folk should be supporting (obviously)-but enjoyed the photos and your piece about Fergie. I was actually at that High Noon game (at the City Ground) between Forest and Man U and remember the radio reports saying that if Man U lost, Fergie would be out. Can't remember the date mind (struggle to remember what happened yesterday). Anyway, Man U won and the rest is history. Have you seen Made of Stone yet Arclight?

Cheers Jill Yes I know the local teams for local people stance, I always say Mansfield is my local team, though, and used to follow them all over. In Jacksdale - on the Notts/Derbys boarder - there's actually as many Leeds fans as other teams, it's an infestation, must have been the Yorkshire miners that settled here back in the day spreading the disease down the line ;-) No not seen Made of Stone yet, can't wait too and for the deluxe version - hope I can glimpse mesen on the extras, one of Shane Meadows cameramen - a few hours before the live music started - was interviewing a couple next to us and I was desperately trying to get his attention knowing there was an chance of getting in the film. There was a buzz in Manc city centre that day - hours before the gig - I've not known for years, a fleeting glimpse back, and feeling, of that time I wrote about in the link above. Best wishes Tony

Ha there's nowhere quite like Mansfield but Royston Vasey (and Jacksdale), someone once told me (so could be apocryphal but believable) they once put up angels hanging from lamposts for Christmas decorations, only heavy rain made the angels bellies swell so looked like a row of preganat angels on festive show
