Hi it's Gavin I'm on facebook now and other stuff that I've not heard of. I've been trying to hide for years but since there have been rumours of me dying of a heroin overdose I thought I'd better get up and running and wipe the slate clean, let people know what I'm doing and generally get involved ( I really don't want my mum to be upset if I don't pick up her call ) I'm rubbish with computers so this is probably a post to GrangeHill/justsayNo.com but trying my best to learn. Thank you to everyone that's posted stuff about me and of course most of all Shane who's been an inspiration and true friend to me over the years. In brief!! Unkle / stopped doing that for now ( but 2 eps out now with me on ) working on the ' Evangelist project ' with Pablo Clements and James Griffith plus 4 short films to run alongside the 4 ep's Playing at Ludovico Einaudi's festival in Verruchio with Nick Hemming from the Leisure society also writing a record with him ( It's really good I think ) doing lots of co writing A double vinyl record will come out later this year, from early sunhouse demos, somerstown, present day etc. ( Shane used to make me record any songs I had even if I didn't want to, he kept everything and just sent me 300 songs I can't remember writing, so sifting through is troublesome ) I think that's it apart from my wrestling career which is really taking off! Big Daddy meets Giant Haystacks in one solid form and there may be a chance of that documentary seeing the light of day. So mum when you read this don't worry I'll let you know if I die! God Bless, Gavin x

Hi Gavin, Thanks for the great update. I was lucky enough to see the documentary when I got to visit Shane during a stint of archiving he was doing just over a year ago.. or was it two? Anyway, it was great getting to learn about the man behind the music via Shane's candid methods! I guess it was Shane's first music documentary too, not this Made of Stone mallarkey! ha Amongst the chatter on the forums we always thought it could be a great idea to include the DVD of the documentary as a second bonus disc with an album perhaps! Oh, and do you have a link to the Facebook page... there's a lot of Gavin Clarks on there!

Does anybody have anymore news on the double album containing songs from Sunhouse through to the present day?
Also at rarerecordings.tripod.com/id29.html site which came up when I was searching for Gavin Clarke info it shows an album cover stating "Sunouse & Gavin Clark rare recordings" and lists what is contained on three discs? does anybody know anything about this and is this the album refered to by Gavin earlier on in this thread?
Thanks all
Gareth

I have to say that rarerecordings 3 disc thing looks more than a little suspect. It has to be a full on bootleg production. dodgy! Well, until I hear otherwise I will presume it is. Just found this on Amazon www.amazon.co.uk/Thats-Life-Gavin-Clark/dp/B00AAMSQ22/But it's not him! Shame

Haha! That almost looks like him, one of the songs is called 24-7. Freaky doppleganger who lives by the coast.
The album is coming and hopefully with the docco we made together a few years back. I honestly cannot wait for this, Gav on Vinyl, with some of his rawest and greatest Analogue and early digital recordings, most of which have never seen the light of day.
I've just seen the track listing, it's freaking ace. I'm buying at least 10 copies!

Hi all
The Rare Recordings stuff is mine. I just enjoy collecting rare stuff from my favourite singers. The website is just a way to display them. Not to sell them. I'm kind of hoping the artists stumble across them and decide to release them. I've been contacted by a few bands with a view to doing that! Hopefully Gavin will be next.
Looking forward to the double vinyl album but also hoping there's a CD release otherwise I'm off to the local flea market for a gramophone.
Cheers Stephen

Hi Robin,
Thanks for the heads up! Looks brilliant... I'll get the news up on the front page tomorrow.
No CD + DVD options without the vinyl then? Possibly something for the future?

Ah fanastic, thanks!
Currently there's no plans to separate it all out. It's just one big ol bundle - but we did make sure there was a CD in there as we know vinyl isn't for everyone.
Nothing's set in stone though...

Deep joy! I happened to have my bi-annual check on this forum expecting to see tumbleweed. Happy Days indeed. My vote is for Cd/DVD set. The vinyl would be an unnecessary extravagence. Either way, great news. Thanks for that.
