Well he bloody well should. One of the few social history movements which originated in Nottinghamshire. Full of intrigue, class politics and violence! Pretty much ready made for a film with echoes of today i.e. a working class having to come to terms with their skilled jobs being taken away (i.e miners).
Read this link Shane and I challenge you to not produce a decent film with what went on, riots, machine breaking, murders, trials ,the smell of revolution. Even Lord Byron weighed in to support the Luddites during their trials. And all started in lil old Notts.
