Was wondering where to post this, then decided it deserved a thread. I remember seeing a TV programme about John Myatt a few years ago (don't remember where-crime channel probably ;D), who was happily engaged painting amazing copies of masterpieces (often using tins of Dulux emulsion from Home Base) for his own pleasure , until he was pulled into the web of an-evil genius-con man who's talent was forging the provenance of works by famous artists and then putting them up for auction at Sothersby's and such. All was going well....until they got caught I really loved that programme-for me, this was a rare example of a victimless crime. Here's Myatt doing a rapid portrait of Ian Brown in the style of Cezanne. Even if you're not into the art (which I think is amazing), it's a nice, off guard, laid back interview, with some nice stories (including authenticating the Geno Washington story, discussed elsewhere on the forum -Palace and the Punks-and featured in Made of Stone), plus insights in to Brown's life, the Roses and jail time reminiscences.....

Yes, it is good. All these references to the extras are driving me mad. I've bought the DVD for my lad as a crimbo stocking filler (yes, he does love the SR, so not-just-for me ) I'm sooooo tempted to watch it!

I would have liked to have seen on the extras some chat with the band themselves, but then I guess that was never part of the plan.... this great interview has filled some of that gap nicely though!
