Just found this little interview with Shane at the recent premiere of Svengali which stars Vicky McClure. Shane talks about Vicky and then a little bit about TIE90 |

Hey Zoe, that's a great find!
I remember Shane saying more than a year ago that Pukey would be back in This Is England '90, but it had been all very quiet on that front for so long I presumed it wasn't happening.
He's the lead actor in that new film just coming out called Starred Up about a youth offender being moved into proper prison because he's so uncontrollable. I haven't seen it properly yet, but we screened it at work a few months ago for the Independent Cinema Office and the bits I saw seemed amazing... well Jack O'Connell's performance seemed amazing, it was hard to judge the story from just tiny bits! ha

O'Connell is getting rave reviews everywhere - for this one (trailer below) as well, so it's really quite a coup if Shane has lured him back into the fold: www.imdb.com/title/tt2614684/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_5It's certainly a step up from "Tower Block", which for the most part was little short of bloody awful (and was O'Connell on autopilot....at best.....) |

Wasn't sure where to post this, I first saw the post on Facebook, but it also appeared on Twitter! From Warp Films' Twitter account: Watch this space at 10pm GMT tonight (Aug 26) Here's the first paragraph: ' Tonight (August 26) at 10pm GMT, we will be releasing the live link to an eBay page (via Facebook and Twitter) for your chance to bid to be part of Shane Meadows and Warp Films final instalment of the This Is England TV series, which is filming in and around Sheffield next month (Sept 2014)'. The money goes to the Teenage Cancer Trust. |

There have also been little mentions on Twitter about the This Is England '90 production edging ever closer.
The 1st Assistant Director made themselves known, and via their own CV I think I've discovered that the series is going to be made up of 4 episodes this time!
Also via Twitter, I think I may have inadvertently worked out a couple of new actors who will be in it. Now, I'm not going to say who I think they are, because my 'guesses' may be very wrong, but they might be very right, and that's even more dangerous! haha
