Peace and Blessings, is This is England 90 cast already? I would love to be a part of this great series…..Please help and clarify I would say that you can be 100% certain that TIE90 is now fully cast because they are filming this month. I have no idea how Shane and his casting director work, but their methods always come up trumps with great actors!

Wonder how long the shot is scheduled for?
Can't remember when TIE88 was shot. That came out around Christmas... did it start filming as late as September? I did always presume TIE90 would be another end of year bonanza! I do remember being surprised at the quick production turnaround of the previous series!

March 2011. '86 was shot in the spring as well I think.

At the moment it seems to be planned as four episodes, but you never know, that could change. They could potentially show 2 episodes and leave a gap before the final 2.... spread the hype and anticipation! Pur especulation on my part of course.

Channel 4 tend to either do one per week, or first and second episodes a Monday and Tuesday and then one a week or they have even on a couple of occasions done all four episodes Mon, Tues, Weds, Thurs of the same week.

Just seen a couple of photos from Andrew Shim on Twitter. One with Mr Meadows in a car, and one with Joe Gilgun and Thomas Turgoose in a hotel room I think! ha I'll have to find them again and put them on here.

Gone a bit quiet on Twitter with regards to the ongoing filming.... I guess there's a big lock-down to stop secret things leaking out as they get deeper into the story. maybe.
Looks like they're filming into the new-year.... is guessing at an Easter air-date a bit optimistic do you think?

Looks like they're filming into the new-year.... is guessing at an Easter air-date a bit optimistic do you think? I dunno - I remember Shane talking about the frantic, down-to-the-wire editing schedule last time around. And how the whole thing was basically being done on the cheap (even though it's a flagship, award-winning C4 show!), so you'd think the filming will be done in a relatively narrow timeframe as well. You'd imagine the show now has a dedicated following so that they won't need months of build-up like they did with '86 either. Given all this, I don't think an Easter-ish broadcast is too unrealistic: the main channels usually start heavily promoting their 'quality' fare for the new year just after the Xmas glut, so it would make sense. In reality, this is all guesswork: I don't really have Scooby!

Dave's point about keeping stuff under wraps and avoiding plot leaks makes sense - were there any before the previous series? I know I didn't hear any, but I wasn't really seeking them out either. The key thing for me is whether the new instalment will have a relatively 'happy' conclusion or if they'll stick with their guns and go for it with the bleakness. I have to admit, I do hope it's the latter...though I'm not sure how you could make anything more traumatic than TiE '88
Bit of a shame they only started filming in the Autumn, though. The long, hot summer of 1990 was glorious....

Beat me to it! ha Was going to mention that the article seems to imply that the four episodes of This Is England '90 will cover the four seasons of the year. Whether that is actually an episode for Spring, one for Summer, one for Autumn, and one for Winter is not entirely clear.
