Hey,
I've been checking out this forum for a little while now and thought I might as well just get registered.
Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Aaron, from Leeds and I'm a designer who has an unhealthy film addiction. I like Shane meadows (obviously) and his gritty style but have only actually seen a handful of his films. None the less he's a great British director and through joining this forum I think it's nice to feel part of something.
Thanks A

Yes hello there. It is very quiet indeed. In the olden days it was non-stop banter and larks! ha
Which of Shane's films have you seen so far? What a lucky boy you are having more Meadows films to view for the first time!

Thanks guys, yeah it's a shame. Maybe I joined a little too late! So far I have only seen/got This Is England and Dead Mans Shoes. I've always been aware of Shane but only recently started digging into interviews and what not. He seems a decent bloke from what I've seen of him!

Welcome aboard, A. I definitely recommend ARFRB -- I had to get the DVD as an import since it's not available here in the US, and it was totally worth it. 24/7 is decent as well; I have an old VHS copy of that.

Thanks well I have no excuse for not getting it then! It's on amazon for only a few pounds. 24 7 on the other hand, is 20 pounds! Must be out of print?

Crikey 24/7 £20 that is a serious price. I've been selling a few DVDs via eBay and it is surprising what some stuff goes for.

It's funny how that works isn't it? I remember wanting donnie darko on DVD and couldn't find it anywhere for less that £20. Fast forward about two years and I spotted it for about £1.50. Brand new, directors cut. It's crazy.
