Grain is a short documentary that gives a voice to the poorer working classes of Britain. Exploring topics such as poverty, the class system, Broken Britain and opportunities. Inspired by the Free cinema of the 50's & 60's.. Karel Reisz "A style is not a matter of camera angles or fancy footwork, it's an expression, an accurate expression of your particular opinion."
Cheers mush..

Council child, this is one of the most powerful things that has been posted on this site for a good while. Twenty-first century Britain and we have food banks..get it sorted..Too right. What a disgrace. There's this amazingly powerful ideological fog shrouding the reality of class and poverty in Britain today, or maybe that should be ideological middle class smug- no longer the preserve of shiny, ham faced Tories, but media obsessed, vacuous, purple Labour careerists too. All our problems are on account of 'failing people' and who make 'bad choices.' Really? It's good to see film-making like this.

Hey, that's a brilliant documentary short! Great that you can make people so at ease in front of the camera so that they can fully express themselves.

Really interesting bit of work that. There is a very natural feel to the contributions caught on camera. Well done.
