Beware the Devil?

Has there been anymore news about this? Shane has supposedly already bought the rights to make this into a film which is based on a true story about a guy (now deceased) who became possessed after messing around with the occult and trying to disprove it.


The man in question's son who was a novelist offered to help him write a book about his experience before he died and is now working with Shane in the making of the film. I can't find anymore mention of it other than some interviews in 2009 it seems like Shane is focused on the Tommy Simpson doc right now. Just ordered the book too read for the meanwhile I really hope Shane is still doing this film i would be so excited to see Shane doing horror.

He's already done horror with "Dead Man's Shoes", surely? But this does look interesting...

I'd say DMS is more on the Drama/Thriller side in my opinion. I'm really into psychological horrors like The Wicker Man, The Exorcist or Psycho compared to say The Texas Chainsaw Massacre or Hellraiser, I absolutely love anything to do with the occult so really hope Shane makes this film! I just bought the book (beware the devil) you should give it a go man.

There's a 2009 thread on here about Beware The Devil, but I don't think the project is any where near the top of Shane's list of projects any more sadly.
