i have discovered that "dead man's shoes" was originally called "skull" after reading a book that had a couple of pages about warp films, and it mentioned a shane meadows film in pre production called skull, the book was released 2002. Plus in the documentary "in shane's shoes" the clapper board has the name "skull" on it. I can't see how the name skull has any relevence to the film, whereas dead man's shoes fits very well. Does anyone know why this film was originally called skull? if so does anyone know why they changed it? Just wondering anyway ;D awesome film that everyone should see, shane meadows is a huge inspiration. Thanks - RyD (if shane is reading this, i saw you when you came to long road sixth form in cambridge and did that intverview before dead man's shoes came out awesome it was)

I also noticed the clapper board on one of the DVD's extended scenes (the parmesan cheese one). I've never read anything about this title though.
