Seriously, though: does the British filmgoing public really have the enthusiasm for two films about bare-knuckle boxers from the travelling community?

Good question, but I do think Shane has made a name for himself in quality and realism, so I think a lot of people now will be keen to see Shane's film on the subject.

If the Cumberbatch film ends up being good or ropey, I still think a Shane Meadows film would now be quite an event for film fans!
