Hi guys. I'm set to direct my debut feature during the first week of March. We're making a psychological drama called RIBBONS, which we're shooting in Glasgow in FOUR DAYS. Inspired by Meadows' Le Donk..., and the work of Joe Swanberg, the movie is going to be mostly improvised - for two reasons: the quicker speed of filming it offers, and because we think it'll make the finished film more visceral and intense.
RIBBONS follows a quartet of very different people trapped in a basement during what might well be a nuclear conflict - the confined space pushes their relationships to breaking point, and their minds to the brink of madness. We're shooting the movie with a budget of £5000, which is mostly to pay cast and crew fees. The bulk of the rest of the budget is catering and a small gear hire (we're using predominantly the equipment we've accrued through years of making shorts.)
We've got an indiegogo page in the offing - currently sitting at £1600, or 30% of our target budget, with 13 days to go. If anyone's able to contribute - help make Meadows' Five Day Feature Revolution a reality! - please check out our fundraising page at igg.me/at/ribbons2018. There's a pitch video there and some info on the various perks we're offering.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my project. Any contribution, no matter its size, will be gratefully received. Help support the UK microbudget film community!

Good luck with the film. I'm not entirely sure what happened to the whole Five Day Feature idea that Shane and Mark Herbert intended to start with the release of Le Donk. I'm sure I vaguely remember another project by another film-maker being mentioned as the next Five Day Feature planned for release.... but then the trail went cold!
