I came to find this place after finding out about Shane Meadows. I love Dead man's shoes and is down as one of my favourite films of all time.
In october last year I had heard and read some very positive reviews of the film but no cinema near me was screening it. Working at the time in a film rental store, I waited until Feb for the rental release. We received only 5 copies on DVD to rent and was blown away when I saw it. The location, the acting, the shots, the story, the drama it was all superb and recommnded it to everyone who came in. I even altered the rental chart and put it at number 1, when it was not even in the top 20. After a couple of months I ordered another 4 copies of the film to rent, so more people would watch it.
So since then I have been looking at more work by Shane Meadows and getting the film store to bring in a copy of twentyfour seven.
Very much looking forward to his new film and any chance of Dead man's shoes tee shirts avaliable at some point?
