Found this website the other night when floating around t'net. Apparently (as the fella says) he was considered for the graphic novel that accompanied the film. www.douglaspledger.com/deadmansshoes.php

hmm interesting... is it just me or do some of them just look like stills from the film edited in photoshop a bit?! Or is that just me? Also, was Dog Altogether ever a working title for Dead Man's shoes? I Know it's the name of Paddy's first film but..

I'm sure Paddy mentioned it before over on his site when someone asked a question mate.

*MORE SPOILERS* hey, I loved this film. though i kind of got confused if anthony was alive or dead. Was he a ghost? You should add some special effects in the rerelease

I agree with you sparrowface (nice name) the bit where Jo breaks into tears as her husband is explaining is one of two parts that force a massive lump into my throat. The other scene is where richard says "Was he screaming my name?........he still is. The hairs are standing up on my neck as I write this! That shows how powerful it is. They are the scenes that get me. Carolyn x

loved deadmans shoes only caught recently after bein stuckin spain a cpl of years, wicked coincidentally my name is anthony and my older brother is richard, however im the ex squaddie not rich, my only complaint was that richard was a para rather than a stafford or atleast a sherwood forrester.paddy bein a burtnian could of quite rightly fell under the recruitment zone fer both but as richard was a derby lad woofers he should av been, sorry staffords an paras never did get on.

Not really sure where to post this, but thought it worth a mention. I was just now driving home from work listening to Mark Kermode's film review slot on radio 5 live. He was talking about the return of the revenge thriller (in relation to Jodie Foster's new film) and used it as an opportunity to once again sing the praises of DMS, as clearly superior to the other stuff that's around or on the horizon. Nice to know that the word is going out to a potentially new audience.
