Now me being a bit of a film geek I thought Id talk about something in the film which I dont know if anybody else has picked up on.

When Sonny and his goons are trying to find out who the guy is who's stalking them (Richard), they go to Patti's (the blonde girl) house to she if she has "shagged any squaddies" recently. When they get in the house, we see she has a young daughter of about five years of age.

Now again, I do concede this is a little nerdy but, during the flashbacks we see Sonny force Patti to shag Anthony so, putting two and two together, is the five year old girl Anthony's kid? And if it is, has anybody else noticed this tragic little twist?

Now its funny you mention this (welcome to the site as well rcspecial) I always wondered if it was Anthony or Sonny's kid as they all seemed to use that girl. What is the tragic little twist you talk about though buddy?

The one thing that confused me about dms was about the time frames of flashbacks etc. The revenge killings took place over 5 days right, and paddy had a beard right away. He doesn't at the funeral of his brother, so there must be a gap of at least a few weeks.(has he quit the army at this point or does he return to duty and quit later?) The reactions of the goons at the mention of "Anthony's Brother" suggests anthony's death was almost long forgotten, years rather than months. The question I keep asking myself is why did it take so long for paddy to start kicking arse? If it is a few years since anthony's death, what you suggest would be a nice little touch, (I certainly hadn't noticed!)

What we need is that Shane Meadows fella to confirm/disconfirm this conspiracy...

Also, it seems like she shagged more than good old Ant. And it didn't look like he finished. But if Shane's not taking the piddle, then fair enough, it's Anthony's...

I'm going to watch DMS later if I get the chance and see if i can spot anything linking it, there's bound to be something subtle that maybe we misssed. Shane is great at putting little things in films that sometimes people dont pick up on me included ;D

Hi Everyone

I just watched the scene where Sonny and his goons went to Pattis' house and threatend her and the flashbacks of when she had sex with Anthony. I couldnt spot what confirmed she was Anthony's child apart from the girl having dark hair like Anthony. Is there anything else in there I have missed Shane?

Without saying anything to give the end of the film away to anyone that has'nt seen it but the twist near the end is fantastic Shane and I never saw it coming. Did you have the twist in mind when you wrote the film?
