Hello
I think the film is just awsome
Anyone have an idea on what Richard says to Sonny when Sonny faces him off, when they see Richard on the side of the road in the 2CV?
Can get most of it but the last few words Richard says?
Thanks lots
Marcus

"If I were you I'd get in that f*cking car and get out of here man, and I'd gather all them goonies, get what ever you've got and come get me 'cos I'm gonna f*cking hit you all...I'm not threatening you mate, its beyond f*cking words. I watched over you when you were asleep and I looked at you f*cking neck and I was that far from slicing it. Your fucking there mate [gestures to the palm of his hand] so get in that car and f*ck off, you get to me first."

Am I right in thinking that scene was improvised as well, that Paddy and Gary went with the flow?

Yeah over on the paddy forums, Paddy himself says that the whole scene was improvised.

The whole film was pretty much built up from the actors impro's (With my guru like guidance of course!) and that scene between the two guys at the fence was pretty electric as neither Paddy nor Gary nor the lads in the car knew if I was gonna get them to actually fight, so the tension was for real and both actors were right in the zone because of it. Meaning the threat of physicality/violence was in the atmosphere rather than carried out, giving the scene added intensity.
Took flipping ages to get right though. We knew we had a great scene in the bag but didn't nail it till very late on in the edit.

I find it excellent how you didn't let them know if they'd be fighting, excellent way to get great performances. ;D
