minor point, just got the US release last week to show to some m8s (needed spanish subtitles) and the front cover was gash compared to the british release. They´ve made it look like american psycho or something. What´s up with that?

That cover and tagline just give totally the wrong impression....no wonder some slack jawed yanks are dismissing it as a revenge yarn...

Now Now... that's not very nice to call people slacked jawed yanks... maybe the reason they gave it the "Revenge is in us all" tag line is because it does deal with revenge an all... And the cover change was most likely fer the stupid Censorship laws we have in Canada an US, so there's reasons for the changes an you shouldn't insult people just cause the government changes everything.

Rubbish front cover for sure. But the film has to find an audience somehow. And that's the way the market dictates. Shane Meadows is barely known Stateside, so I guess that selling the film genre-style is the best ploy to get the interest started. Shame, because the UK cover is simply ace.

Strange that MystikalFury's account has vanished.
I got a question from her via PM, and the next day when I went to reply, her account had been deleted. Mysterious!

mind you, even when you go on warpfilms press site, you get a sense that its nowt more than a revenge flick too

Maybe its a good thing, people go into it expecting a revenge thriller, and come out having been rewarded with a wonderful thought provoking beautiful film that they wouldn't have thought about seeing otherwise.

It's impossible to market because it's such a personal film, you can tell warp did'nt interfere and just let Meadows and Considine do exactly as they wanted.
The film really reminds me of taxi driver - some bloke saves a prostitute
theirs so much benith the surface of what the film apears to be about, compare raging bull to rocky
