who is elvis in dead mans shoes? just saw andrew shims name on the credits for the first time and it left me very puzzled?!

Was the character of Elvis intended to have been included more in the story?
I've also been pondering the inclusion of this character in the credits as none of the other mourners were.

a good point paul... the other mourners do get a credit as 'mourners', i noticed because they included shane's mum and dad (?) but none of them were given a main credit like shimmy... i'd like to know if elvis was meant to be included more too??

I think I just remembered Shane mentioning that Mr Shim had a full scene involving his character buying drugs from Sonny and gang. Not in the film though.. and not in the deleted scenes either. |

... ah right... i imagined him as richard's confidante... and then decided that he was excluded because the existential nuances of richards character would have been much diluted if shane had included such a figure in his life... a lot of reading between the lines lead me to this analysis... but i would love to know if there is any basis of fact in my ponderings??
