I think it's an old peoples home in Darley Dale, not 100% though. If it is where i think then the external road scenes are shot back in Matlock on a cul de sac near the Red Lion, could be completely wrong though. It's the only location i couldn't place. Rich K will have the answers.

Yes he will. But can't remember the name of the block! It's on the Hurst Farm Estate, just down the hill from the social club. Lovely people in there - we ended up filming until 2am that night, doing the Herbie screaming his way up the stairs at the very end. The cost for doing it? A few bottles of wine and a mobile phone top-up. Ahh, great days..

Ha ha! awesome. You been there Thribb? I had a quick drive around the estate a couple of weeks ago, I'll be getting some pics soon. The houses have been done up since DMS was made, the concrete slab exterior walls have been rendered. Paul

One location I'm having problems finding is the house were Jo Hartley's character lives. I think it's Darley Dale but I can't find it yet.

I've had varied experiences when photographing locations from really friendly responses from local residents to serious suspicion about my motives. One bloke reckoned the film crew sneaked onto his property, shot the footage, then cleared off when he was on holiday! He then regaled me with his description of some Japanese tourists turning up one day waving cameras about photographing his obsolete fuel pumps. Paul

Thribb that'll be the place at Wessington. He was a slightly unusual bloke, but we didn't sneak in, it was all organised beforehand! Jo Hartley's house.. it's easy.. Near Darley Bridge.. OK..Er... there's a major clue!

OK..Er... there's a major clue! He insisted that I specifically ask him for permission before I took the photos, ah well, the things you have to do for one's hobby. Thanks for the Darley Bridge tip.
