I'm watching DMS for the zillionth time as I type this and wanted to post this while it is fresh on my mind. I have just noticed in the black and white footage that Al's girlfriend pulls chewing gum out of her mouth and twists it around her finger. This is what we used to do (late 70s/early 80s) and also when the gang goes to visit the girl at her house in the present time she is wearing a colourful blouse. I wondered if this was a Marks & Spencer or British Home Stores uniform top of the 80s. If this was so, and I am not meaning to stereotype, that's brilliant because loads of women who were mothers were working in those types of shops because it fitted in with their lifestyle.
I know that in another post JT has mentioned an ashtray on a windowsill (I think in Tuff's flat) that was made at a factory he had worked in.
Just wondered what other little things people had noticed and whether that blouse was a Marks & Spencer or British Home Stores uniform.
