There's a free DVD with the Observer newspaper this Sunday featuring early short films by British directors, including Where's the Money, Ronnie? www.guardian.co.uk/film/signup/2010/sep/21/bfiAmelia and the Angel directed by Ken Russell, Boy and Bicycle directed by Ridley Scott, The Burning directed by Stephen Frears, I'm British But....directed by Gurinder Chadha, Where's the Money Ronnie! directed by Shane Meadows

Good find Dave, nice one.
I've only seen the Meadows and Scott shorts so the others will be interesting. Russell, Frears and Chadda (when she's on form and not trying to pander to the mainstream) are all filmmakers I have an interest in too.
