Ive just watched this film and have to say that i thought it was superb.Paddy was as good as ever and the two girls were amazing. This is probably not a film i would usually watch but any work by Paddy or Shane never ceases to amaze me. I think the film was helped by a very personal script by the Sheridans. What does everyone think of it.
ps sorry this is in the wrong section but i cant register for some reason.

Still haven't got round to seeing In America yet, although I think I've seen all of Paddy's other work (even his brief appearance as a newspaper editor(?) in the Martins).
I may move this thread to the ANYTHING ELSE section, and also unlock all the boards so anyone can post. But if we start getting trouble, I'll lock them up again! hahah ;D

I just watched this last week and bawled my eyes out, having recently lost a close member of family. I've watched most of and have bought all the available dvd's (Including Mr Sleep?) of Paddy's films. However a mate of mine saw Bouncer the short Paddy done with Jeff Thompson and Ray Winstone after having read Watch My Back and recommends both of them, is Bouncer available anywhere? Oh and he still reckon's Watch My Back should be a film. Think I might get round to reading it...

I contacted Jeff Thomson and he told he you could get Bouncer in HMV. Now, I live in Coventry, so it might just be available because it was made here. Either way, I guess you could order it from the HMV in town. I've not bought it yet.
I wasn't so keen on In America...Paddy was class in it again, especially the scene where he confronts the artist. I thought the film was way too sentimental. I much preferred Last Resort.
Has anyone seen the Dr Sleep film Paddy was in? I've heard it is abysmal. Sounded it too!
I hope Paddy sticks to doing independent films with the odd big film, rather than going for the big hollywood thing. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the next X-Men or whatever as long as we get stuff like DMS too.

I sat through Born Romantic the other week just to see what Paddy's part was.
What a pile of shite!! and a waste of a pound.
I do agree with StrayGoat in regards to Last Resort I loved it along with My Summer of Love.
I think Pawel Pawlikowski will be one to watch out for in the future
Cheers
