Just got back from Primavera Sound in Barca. Absolutely fuckingamazing.
Devo just about tore the place apart. So did Portishead, and Public Enemy... but the real highlight... Animal Collective.
You just have to see this band play before you die. You really.... do.

Love Animal Collective.... Panda Bears solo stuff is well worthy of a listen too.

Yeah. They played a couple of Panda Bear songs too. I can only describe the whole thing as a Daft Punk live show, doing Beach Boys songs. It were seminal. Anyway, a couple of pictures... 808 State Hefner, playing in a palm-tree lined park in the middle of the city A beautiful view of one of the stages overlooking the sea.

Last band I saw live 'Bloc Party' great live but the second album was a bit of a disappointment, luckily they played most of 'Silent Alarm' too. Hot Chip are top of my to see list at the moment, great band.

Saw Beck at the Manchester Apollo last night.
Was OK. The crowd was going mild. They were in control. It lacked magic. It looked like Beck was in a mood.
Xenu, alien ruler of the Galactic Confederacy, wasn't shining a light on him that evening...

Saw My Bloody Valentine at the Apollo on Sunday they were without doubt the loudest band i've ever seen most people used the ear plugs that were given out. To finish the set they did a 35 minute 'song' which was basically a sustained one note feedback now i know what it would be like to sit under a jet engine for 35 min.
