Had this a while now, but it is now possibly becoming my favourite album ever! Very weird, if you like that sort of thing, and luckily I do. I won't like any old thing that's weird though, it's just that this album is almost perfectly made for the kind of weirdness I like! Give it a try... but you have to approach it with an open mind! haha. There are hardly any repeated riffs or usual song features. It's just tonnes of inventive 'musical hits' and quality musician skills!

Finished working on something today that's been draining all the joy out of my life.......burned off a CD tonight for a Mancunian friend of mine (who bizarrely doesn't know any of this brilliant stuff) to celebrate....so tonight I have been mainly listening to: The Fall, Buzzcocks, Joy Division, Inspiral Carpets,Smiths, Stone Roses, James, Happy Mondays, Charlatans, Chemical Brothers,Verve ( OK, that one's a 'cheat'), Electronic, Morrisey,Black Grape, Ian Brown,Badly Drawn Boy, Doves, and John Cooper Clarke. Splendid. Also, enjoyed some nostalgia this morning-listened to the Raincoats-had forgotten how good they were- and some Belly, plus some Camera Obscura-anybody else on site like them? Wonderful.

Excellent And Salv, The Knife are immense. Have you got Deep Cuts? The DVD that come with its excellent, check out the video to Pass it On. Silent Shouts seems to be alot different, very very good though. Particuarly Like a Pen, I love the intro to that. Check out the Presets if you like them, the albums a bit hit and miss although the songs, 'Down Down Down' and 'Are you the one' are excellent. I should be recording some of my own stuff at the end of Jan, very similar to the latter two.
