having checked the character names on imdb i bow to your superior knowledge enemy isn't a sequel to conversationyou're right i guess that makes your point about hackman just copying his earlier performance spot on too, since i was covinced when i first watched enemy that it was the same character kudos to you. but i stand by my opinion that the conversation was a slow film and it didn't build a great deal of tension within me of the other films you mention i've only seen all the president's men and i agree it's good but i've got a bit of a soft spot for miovies set in or around news rooms not sure why, maybe it's the deadline thing it's a great way of creating tension

You should definitely check The Parallax View – It’s great and certainly one of Warren Beatty’s best.

Have you all seen the collection of Shane's ads I linked to on the front page? A couple different ones in there.
Anyway... is it my imagination, but does the woman answering the phone at the end of the Natwest ad say "Natwest Meadows branch..." ?

Campanero- The Conversation, as you say, is a classic... made very special by walter murch's sound editing.. i go as far as to say its my favourite coppola.
