Nice one Dave! I've just watched it. The picture kept freezing but the sound played fine. If you want I can use a little app called iRecordMusic to record the sound only and upload to the net? I can't guarantee it'll work!! Made some interesting points about the conjunction of repeated swearing and violence dwelling on the infliction of pain. Mark Herbert, a lady from the BFI and a group of school teenagers, who are shown clips of TIE, are interviewed.

Just in case it doesn't work for anyone else, sound only here: (Edit: MILD SPOILERS) www.chromebaby.co.uk/TIE.htmClick on the pic to listen. I'll leave it there for 24 hours only. Those pesky cease and desist orders! Do a 'File : Save as...' to keep it for ever and ever!

Just managed to watch it. It's good coverage, and really interesting.
The point that local authorities can over-rule the 18 cert is a good one. Infact I mentioned the 18 cert to our head of programming at the Watershed in Bristol who saw the film recently. He said he'd look into asking the local authorities about over-ruling it to a 15. I think I'll pass this video on to him actually. Maybe we can start campaigning our local authorities?
This should be up on the front page of the site by tomorrow, as long aas my webspace stays online!

I've tried all the tricks I know to get hold of that More4 news video for my own devious uploads, but I have had no success.
If anyone can download the video, please let me know because I think it would be worth archiving for the site before it vanishes from the More4 site.

A mention of TIE in a review of Outlaw in The Information which is The Independent on Saturday's 'what's on' magazine.
Outlaw (18) Director Nick Love Starring Sean Bean, Danny Dyer, Bob Hoskins, Lennie James
A group of disparate Londoners, including a middle-class black barrister, become vigilantes under the tutelage of Sean Bean's embittered ex-soldier. Nick Love, who directed The Football Factory, is no stranger to the themes of male bonding and male violence, but with this he has upped the game. Outlaw, which mirrors the cavernous atmosphere of Children of Men and the demonic acuity of Shane Meadows's upcoming BNP-related saga, This Is England, exudes a real fug of zeitgeist. ****
Mark Kermode also mentioned Shane Meadows while slating Outlaw on his Friday film review bit on 5 Live yesterday. (EDIT: Which is availble as a podcast.)
