also no, she didn't 'bow down to the murderous IRA hunger strikers' neither did she do anything other than confrontation in Ireland. Look where negotiation has got us now over there.

also no, she didn't 'bow down to the murderous IRA hunger strikers' neither did she do anything other than confrontation in Ireland. Look where negotiation has got us now over there. Negotiation was always required in Northern Ireland and, hopefully, we won't return to conflict. I was wondering if it is linked into the Iraq war in some way though because I noticed that Bush visited Belfast a couple of weeks after we accompanied the US in going into Iraq for the second time. Also, there had been a lot of changes in US legislation in the previous years where funds of different groups were frozen. I just wondered if the Iraq war could be part of a bigger picture and we needed help in the conflict in Northern Ireland. Of course, I could be entirely wrong though.

Is Thatcher still in power? what year is it? Where am I? Are those my feet? It's not 1983 but it is very nearly 1984, as far as the feet are concerned bite them, if it hurts there yours and if nobody else screams you've just bit a dead person.

I think the grafiti on the wall in 'This is England' summed up Mrs Thatcher best.
MAGGIE IS A TWAT
Couldn't have put it better myself.
