Well done Shane. I'm sure that the DVD success of Dead Man's Shoes has helped with publicity for you. I, personally, found out about you through Myspace and other people posting images of Dead Man's Shoes on their pages and then I found out about it on the web. This was only about 6 months ago.
I saw you on the Southbank Show recently and thought you were really self effacing and modest (especially when the interview closed and Melvin Bragg said "very good"). I'm sure that this makes you endearing to people (well, at least to me anyway).
Good luck for the future and I hope that you get your projects off the ground. I will be watching out for your work anyway.
All the best,
Carolyn

If it continues to find it's audience in the cinemas and then on DVD, King of the Gypsies (the way I want to make it) could finally happen. Reading that has made me almost as excited as when Daniel Knott told me he had seen Back To The Future style hoverboards for sale in Argos. This time, though, I'm confident I won't be met with the same overwhelming dissappointment. Well done Mr Meadows, the belated success is thoroughly deserved.

About time a Meadows film got what it deserved, fantastic news and well done Shane a few beers over the weekend to celebrate I'm guessing then. Well done to everyone involved the film deserves such recognition. Top news.

I'm delighted to hear how well 'This Is England' is doing as it's well deserved success. I saw loads of positive publicity about it on The Guardian's website and on www.britfilms.tv so I was confident you were onto a winner. I especially liked the interview with young Tommy Turgoose on Britfilms as he sounded like a sound kid. Great film, keep up the good work. And tell little Tommy we think he's great and we hope you see him on the big screen again soon. By the way, I think the 18 rating was uncalled for. ;D

Huge congrats mate for the success on the film, I recently started taking notice of your films and i can say they have changed the way i think about life, They have moved me in all direction. I told all my friends about Dead Mans Shoes and they called me up as soon as they had seen it and went mad. they have all since seen This is England and now can't get enough of you and are currently working through the shorts.
Even the missus, who wouldn't normally watch your work can't keep her eyes off the TV when watching your films
Congrats to everyone involved in bringing this film to the big screen. Its even in my local 12 screen Multi hehehe
I can't get enough of your film making mate, trully awesome stuff. Keep up the good work and cannot wait till the next one. All the best for the future

Hey everyone Haven't seen it yet due to a lack of transport and living in rural Devon. It was on in Plymouth at 22.15 which a) couldn't get to and b) couldn't get home from and having trouble tracking it down nearby. Guttet as from first trailers on tv Knew it was something special. Bought the soundtrack which is brill. I have a pleasure yet to come.....

I went to my local multiplex on monday and saw that TIE was showing there, which made me very, very happy when I went into the cinema. I wasnt as happy coming out as I'd just seen Spider-man 3.
