Hello Shane and friends! Thanks for your great welcome message. I love your films and will carry on giving you good press throughout the ages. I would like to meet other Shane Meadows' enthusiasts in London, so message me if you want to meet up. I'm in the business of writing for film but not only: I would love to partner with others and create original work that inspires, challenges and rings true for all members of the underclass out there! Merry Christmas everybody... Cina

A quick hello from a Uttoxeter native, proud of my association with the town and of Shane's achievements. I'm a bit older than Shane but Arthur Meadows was a friend of my brother's (he still lives in Utch and was one of the few Teddy Boys in town!). I sort of left at 19 to go to Uni and returned briefly for 18 months to work in Ashbourne, thereafter leaving to work in London and then Bath/Bristol, which is where I've been since about '86.
There's probably a film or two to be made about some of the characters I grew up with in the 70's but I think that's best left to Shane!!!
Great work Shane, looking forward to TIE '86!!

orite buddy, from Notts - had the odd pint with Shane back in the Nelson in Sneinton way back when. Married now with kids and moved to a more up-market location in Notts...ahem
Still very proud that Shane putting us on the map and still very proud that anyone can do a Scottish, cockney, Irish or geordie accent but NO ONE can do immitate the beautiful monotone drawl that is the Notts accent.
If only Shane would do something that included the Gypsy Romani slang from Newark. Go-on Shane get some Newark Gypos in the next film - i'll help you with the dialect.

These posts are all really old man, where the fuck has everyone gone? I am sorry to intrude on your "Kev Costner lifestyle" , no, I'm not really, I was just hoping for a little advice( cheeky twat or what?), I have been a huge film fan since the birth of VHS and have often dreamed of making a film of my own, if I could do just one that was even half as good as any of yours I would die a happy man, however I am slightly impaired as I have no training or qualifications whatsoever in the field of movie making, except that I have seen everything from "bad boy bubby" to "Frankenhooker", and I have no idea what kind of camera would be needed to make something half decent. I've searched the internet for examples on how to properly form a script and just ended up stressed and feeling out of my depth. Where the hell do I start? I love the realism of your films and the ad-libing is in my opinion what makes the best movie moments, I believe you should write what you know, wether it be films, books or music, that is what makes the best stuff and you do that brilliantly, I don't like to blow smoke up anyone's arse but all your films( except le donk, and even that has some great moments) are ace. so, any advice on where to find some FREE examples of scripwriting and maybe a cheap second hand, broadcastable quality camera?
