Looks promising but its difficult to get the humour without knowing Le Donks back story. At the moment it looks like Paddy walking around being Paddy. And no dancing!!!!!!!
+ the music seems out of place and the editing looks like its been done by a college student. ;D
I'm sure it will come good in the end. It always does with Shane

Ha, ha! I love the way Shane responds to the 'knockers'-bit like me if somebody criticises my kids-same thing in a way, I suppose. Anyways, I liked the style of it, adds to the conceit that LeDonk is a real character.

Haha don't get touchy Shane. This board would be crap if everyone kisses your arse. I'll have to wait and see the finished version to make my mind up. When you mention that Le Donk is a similar character to Coogan's Saxondale though your setting the bar really high. (I'm not knocking you more playing the devil's advocate. This board can veer towards brown-nose central at times)

tony, why you here then? brown nose? people are here because they genuinely love shane's work, they then say it, so what? do you have magic powers were you can tell if someone is brown nosing? or do you just presume because you dont like it as much?

I'm going by the fact that when I put any sort of critiques of his films on here a lot of people wet their pants and start crying into their keyboards. No film is perfect and it doesn't make me any less of fan of his work because I don't like certain elements within them

I kind of thought the whole point of it was supposed to be amateur'ish. I didnt piss my pants or anything watching all 2mins worth of preview footage (which im highly dissapointed about, honestly I am, I expect more meadows), I did like the cock showdown though... mwhaha, you get yours out.... no, you get yours out.
Should be good though. Top Job Shane.....

Saxondale is a ripoff of this idea, not the other way around. Steve Coogan saw the Pilots of Le Donk some years back and unashamedly ripped them off. I will be giving him an unpleasant present when he finally crosses my path again!
I don't need people to love me tonyyeboah, I just don't think you really get where the film is coming from. If you think the music is wrong and the editing looks like amatuer then I don't thinky you will like it.
The reason that you always seem to get a scratchy response is because your posts can be pretty disparaging. Personally, whether you like my stuff or not doesn't really matter to me as I am now a huge success like Ivy Tilsley and Ben Tackie.
Are you a director yourself or do you prefer to critique others? I would love to see some of your work if you have any, I bet it is amazing!

Anyways back to the subject at hand looks brilliant Shane, can't wait to see the finished version, will it be black and white like the teaser trailer??? I like to use black and white a lot and not enough people use it so well done if it is.
The original Le Donk advert on Shanes world was funny but didnt give us anything about the charecter so this will be good to see where this film goes. Paddy looks on top form as well and will be good to see some new comedy.

Bugger, I wanted to be clever and say that about Saxondale. I don't think this place ever gets like 'brown nose central' Tony. There have been discussions of OUTIM (and some aspects of TIE) that have been critical...it's done in the right spirit though.
