tony I don't get what your on about; saying the editing looks like it's been done by a college student is pretty bizzare I have no idea whats wrong with the editing, I think you mean more the way it was shot and the fact the edit wasn’t anticipated during the shoot?? but being a mockumentary how could it look any other way? the fact it was shot in 5days only adds to it's credibility, Imagine if everything was scripted and storyboarded, it just wouldn’t work.
I think personally this could be up their with the best of Shanes work, Shane's World was a brilliant inspiration to me and now with a feature length Low/No Budget film it'll inspire even more film makers to stop whinging and whining about funding and equipment and get off their arses and make something!
‘Le Donk’ is the same philosophy that created Deadmans Shoes and then some! and even if the film's a pile of shit (which it obviously isn't) what I admire the most about this project is the fact a handfull of people got together for a week spent a few months in the edit and have a feature film to show for it,
I think the fact that someone of Shane's success doesn’t see shooting on a couple of Z1E's on fuck all budget as beneath him is fantastic, I mean I knew pretentious wankers at film school with a couple of shorts under their belt who said if it wasn’t 16mm it was beneath them, it’s projects like Le Donk that are a breath of fresh air to this stuck up it’s own arse industry!

I know bud. I kinda wish I had made it in 3d or Imax'd it now.
People like my good freind Tony, do cheese me off a little as they seem to think I am putting stuff on the internet looking for approval and validation. I am not, I am trying to let people in on the process.
When it's finished, then feel free to rip it up, wee on it, do whatever makes you happy, but remember that filmmakers have hearts to, and even though they hearts are made of biscuits, they can become weepy and emmit a yellowy liquid if poked and fiddled with too much.

This is where Shane and Paddy show they are conceptually and morally lightyears ahead of the British film industry.
Tell me where else you could get a BIFA award winning director and a British actor that has just come off the back of the years highest grossing hollywood blockbuster to scrap for cash to make a lo-fi (no offence Shane) lo budget feature with no script and no studio backing but to still (in one's mind) have a quiet confidence that it's going to be great.
name me any other director/actor partnership even having the confidence and fortitude to carry this off win or fail.
not to say anyone on here is nay-saying it (or are they?), I'm just getting passionate about something here. Not trying to be an apple-polisher either!

"Yeah, finish your beats and we'll talk later." I have no idea why, but that line amuses me no end.

Nicely said Morell !
Hi Shane! I want to pay my respects and say I love the Le Donk “teaser trailer”. There’s so much more to this than I imagined, and while I’m not one to critique anything, thought the song was fab too. I really enjoy the way it looks (documentary style) and the way the story line goes!!! Whether it stays in b&w or goes to color the whole thing looks good and is fun to watch. Do you know yet if you’ll put it on the different regions of dvd’s? Either way I’ll find a way, can’t wait to see it!

I'm not sure exactly what form the release will take but I'm pretty sure it will be available on DVD (hopefully multi format) and internet streaming type stuff.

Really looking forward to seeing this, mate - the footage is good, looks really nice in black and white - hadn't known what to expect before seeing this, but am really amped by what I've seen here. ;D
